Wangan Midnight S01

From sunset to dawn, street racers gather on Tokyo's highways (the "Wangan" route) seeking only one thing: speed. Among them, a newcomer, who has just bought a "Nissan Fairlady Z" (a car nicknamed "Devil Z"), catches the attention of veteran drivers. The newcomer ignores the warnings of "Eriko Asakura", who lost his brother "Akio" in an accident. Coincidentally, this new driver is also named "Akio", a person who continues to dominate the racing circuit after two accidents. "Akio", who has dropped out of high school and is now working to pay for his car repairs, befriends the street racers in the area: the legendary owner of a "Porsche 911 Turbo", known as the "Black Bird" on the streets. And of course, the genius surgeon "Tatsuya Shimizu" and "Rina Akikawa", who works as a model during the day and drives a "Nissan Skyline GT-R" on the racing circuit at night. Thanks to these connections, "Akio" is able to find the retired designer of his car's engine: a man named "Jun Kitami". After meeting "Akio", "Jun" resumes designing powerful and dangerous engines...
